Restructuring a kimono

I have started to expand one of my narrow kimonos, ie. I have separated lined the outer layer so that I can include material on the sides and the panels (ukumi) in front.

Got some great images of the neck drop, and to my surprise there were a bit of cotton/ wool in the corners, it gives nice little strong corners, so I will put it back, afterwards.

All seams along the kimono frontlay was basted to in the vastefabric to the vastefabrib on the lining, I have a little difficult to figure out how that is possible to do, because it looks like, all seams, except the collar, is sewn from the inside - interesting

And it happened in those days ...

(A sentence such as Christmas tales usually start with.)

At the moment I`m studying beside my work, and to make me sit still, when I have a theory class, I have taken up embroider, which seems quite excellent for that
purpose.

Han-eri
The textile is quite rough, which I think is funny to an embroidery, which normally is a delicate thing, I would not claim that precision is an asset of mine, as embroider challenge my patience, so the design occurs as I sew, in order to ensure balance in the composition, I'll draw up the pattern next time.

It is not finish yet, but close
