It is possible, a obi to wide

So I tried my new Tsumugi  from Ichiroya at this Kimono Jack meetup.

I had made a new obi, and the obi-shin was much better than the other one I used for the Pool obi, this one was a medium thickness, from Kimono Poncho  real nice.

I made the obi a little wider than the others I have, but I forgot when I put it on, I also widen it there, so all together it became a little tooo wide.

The obi dome is a swan made of dark plastic

Yumiko`s boyfreind took some pictures, so I hope there are some good ones, since the majority of mine are quite blurry.

Kimono Jack DK 3. meeting

Well... I did it, went out alone in kimono, and it was ok.
I met a small group og Japanese tourist on the way, they found it very funny to come to Copehagen and se a Dane in kimono, funny in a nice way : )

Here is what I put on for the day, not my bedst kitsuke, got a little too stuffed, but I had to leave so no time for a second try. I like the contemporary touch of it.

Sakura Festival 2012

This is actually my first festival, but Denmark's fifth.

The weather was mixed and really wet and cold on Saturday, so the wool kimono I wore that day, was truly
appreciated..

The shawl is a gift from a friend of mine, whose aunt have knitted it, it fits perfectly into a kimono, since there are sleeves in.

The second day, I participated in the kimono show, the clothes is my own, but styled for the show, there there 38 participants, and it was amassing to see how smooth it went with the dressing, make-up ect. it was organised really well.

Saturday

It was so could that you could see your own breath.

Finally the sun came.

We had also had a kimono Jack meeting there : )

And one for the back...

Sunday

An acquaintance of mine who also participated in the show

Kimono Jack Kirsuke

So our first Kimono Jack in Denmark has ended, and we were 6 in total, 2 in kimono, and 4 supporters, thanks to all, read more on http://kimonojackdk.blogspot.com/

My outfit, almost lasted ; )
Typically this morning,, I wanted to wear another kimono, than planned. So I started to put together a new combination, this one... it is ok, but I think I could do a better version, than the one I did today.

The obi is an old Chuya, and way too small for me, so I cheated, I made only one lap around the torso, in stead of the normal two ones.
The Han-eri is ones again a former tablecloth, made this morning, seems to be a habit.
The Jacket is an old secondhand one, which almost fits a kimono, the sleeves are a bit to shorts.

This is after a bus tour, two traintours, two hours in a Cafe` and a cartrip.

The pink is the elastic band, which
has climbed up, I had unfortunately
not
noticed it.

Kimono Jack in Denmark

That we have a Danish Kimono Jack, fills me with joy, hoping to, with time, to gather a group of people, who wants to enjoy their kimonos, in each other's company.
